I just want summer.
I just want to laugh and talk and catch up with my friends and walk along the waterway at night. I want to sing and dance in random parking lots at 2 in the morning. I want to lay on the golf course staring at the stars like we always do. I want midnight Wal-Mart trips and buying plastic margarita glasses just because they’re on sale. I want to sit in the cubby on the waterway and stare at the water mindlessly chatting with my best friends. I want sleepovers and movie marathons. I want to drive around aimlessly, trying to figure out what’s changed in our town since we left. I want sticky nights and sweltering days.
I want home.
